What's in it?

This nicely appointed apartment is the beach lifestyle at its best. You have everything you need to make this a great vacation spot. You can cook in or bring take away back just to relax behind the green door and in the green grasses of your outdoor patio.

We have another aprtment in the same building for family or another group.

What is the area like?

You can walk straight up Bograshov Avenue to the beach. You can choose from Trumpeldor, Bograshov, Frishman or Gordon beach. Walk the other way on this beautiful quiet avenue and you will come to the Dizengoff Center. This neighborhood will give you the feel of walking along some of the streets of Europe. It is a very quiet neighborhood and you can walk in the day or evening and see local Israelis and tourists enjoying the sea breezes.

What shall I have for lunch?

The Thai House is on the corner of Bograshov Avenue and Ben Yehuda Street.  The staff is on hand to explain every dish and would recommend the rich and luscious Tom Kha Gai soup. Other dishes worth trying are the chicken in coconut milk accompanied by a side order of rice, and the lightly fried spring rolls. Top of the dessert menu is the artfully presented "sticky rice" draped with mango.

Mexicana has some great authentic Mexican food. A specialty is Sombrella, strips of chicken or entrecote stir-fried with vegetables and served in a confit of red peppers and chipotle. Pizza is also on the menu, with a tortilla-like crust. Business lunch at Mexicana means a 20% discount.

Where can I empty my wallet?

The Dizengoff Center is a short walk from this apartment. You can find all of Israel's local brands here for streetwear and beachwear. Try; TNT, Castro or the Mashbir for some great fashions as well as many other local shops to choose from in this all day experience.

Arts and Entertainment?

Bialik House  If Israel has a national poet, Chaim Bialik is it. This is the writer's former home, where he lived and worked until his death in 1934. The house itself is perhaps the greatest attraction. Several of the rooms, including his library, writing room, and dining room, have been either preserved or recreated as they were. The architecture is worth viewing in its own right, and if the visitor does not know Hebrew, may be the only real attraction as all the display information is in Hebrew. Admission is free.

Rubin Museum Reuven Rubin is perhaps Israel's most famous painter. His colorful images have become icons of The Land of Israel. Utilizing his former home, the lower floor is devoted to his paintings, organized chronologically.

Let's Get Practical

You can walk to the beaches and to the shopping centers. You should even find your way by foot through this area to find Sheinkin Avenue for some fun and funky trendy local shops in the most famous fashion street in Israel and possibly the Middle East. ATMs will give you access to your accounts for shekels or you can use your own currency and shop owners will give you change at the most current shekel exchange.

You can get rental cars on Hayarkon street near the Isrotel Hotel for easy in and out for sight seeing in Israel. Also, look for local tour offices to arrange other sight seeing trips out of Tel Aviv. Buses will get you around the city and on to all parts of Israel. You can take a nice leisurely ride on the trains to all points north to Rosh Hanikrya and south to Ashkelon. This is a fun slow ride to the country. You must take it to Jerusalem for a sight through the Judean Hills and on to the Jerusalem Zoo. Since it takes 45 minutes or so, it is a nice ride. Once in Jerusalem all sights are available by bus or cab once you arrive in the downtown area.
