What's in it?

This stylish apartment is designed for up to 4 people. The interiors are clean and new. It has a full kitchen for eating in or just having a quick coffee and croissant in the breakfast nook. This apartment is as clean as any hotel and will cost you less per person.

What is the area like?

You are surrounded by water on both sides. The Hayarkon River on one side in Tel Aviv's "Central Park" and the Medeterranean Sea on the other side. The port is close by with all new stores and restaurants. You can follow the promenade south to all the best beaches and as far south as Old Jaffa. The area is new and trendy in a very exclusive north beach area of Tel Aviv.

What shall I have for lunch?

The great advantage of the port area is that it offers activities all through the day, so you can spend the morning or afternoon there with family and kids, enjoying a coffee in Shalvata while your children enjoy playing on the sand, or a gourmet breakfast in Gilly's restaurant, but also enjoy nighttime activity, eating in one of the areas many restaurants or enjoying a show, a drink or a night of clubbing.   In short you have all and any options; you could even indulge yourself with a dozen fresh oysters in the seafood gourmet restaurant Mol-Yam.

Where can I empty my wallet?

You can find all the local Israeli stores at the port. This is sometimes more fun since fewer people are here shopping. You can get the same stores here as in Dizengoff Center without all the people. A cab ride to trendy Sheinkin Street will take you to some very fun, funky one of a kind shops that rival the Champs Elysees in Paris. Along the new port on Saturday mornings is an antique fair starting at 10 and goes until late in the evening. Check to be sure because weather can change along the sea ports and it may be cancelled.

On Sheinkin~Krembo is a great tshirt shop to grab a few souviners to take home and is locally owned so you can support the people as well as get a good deal. HAAri has local artisans with judaica items from stars of David to mezzuzoth. Kabbalah is in fashion now and they have great fashions here.

 

 

Arts and Entertainment?

Old Jaffa is a straight walk down the promenade about 45 minutes by foot. You can also take the number 10 bus from HaYarkon Street and get off at the Clock Tower in the city square. Here you can enjoy the ancient port city walking among the new artist's colony which is side by side with some ruins and artifacts from Ramses the Egyptian Pharoah. There is also legends from the bible since Jonah was swallowed by the whale here. Don't worry! Whales usually throw you back!

Let's Get Practical

Israelis are helpful. ASK if you are lost. Buses and cabs can be quick and easy and are on every corner. But thee mode of transportation is free; by foot. Tel Aviv is easy to walk since you can stop on every corner and alleyway for coffee or something to eat and then resume your walk. Take a bus or cab one way and walk back. The streets to the Dizengoff Center and on to Sheinkin Street are beautiful and some of the prettiest areas in all of the city and are best seen by walking.

ATMs are in English, Russian and Hebrew and will give you shekels at the most current rates. AM/PM is a 24 hour store that delivers your food order. A good way to stock your fridge for your lay in at this amazing place.
