What's in it?

This neighborhood is very close to the Dizengoff Center. Gordon, Frishman and Bograshov beaches are a short walk away. The promenade connects you to the hub of Israeli beach life all the way north to the Hilton Hotel and south to Old Jaffa.

What is the area like?

This apartment was designed for the homeowner to most perfect detail. The wooden floors remind you of being outside in a deep forest of trees. The bathtub with jacuzzi jets will be a War of the Roses to decide who gets in first. Maybe it holds two?

What shall I have for lunch?

The Hilton Hotel; as well as many other well known chains offer some great 5 star restaurant choices. These are my two favorites near the apartment. You only need to walk to the promenade near the beach and walk north to the Hilton Hotel.

King Solomon Restaurant offers full course meals with fish and beef selections. The wine list is international with an emphasis on local Israeli wines which are a must taste.

Yakimono Sushi has a large variety of Japanese foods including sushi. Try one of the several Japanese beers and enjoy the selections of fish. This is for the true fish lover.

Where can I empty my wallet?

The Dizengoff Center has great local Israeli shops for streetwear and beach fashions. Enjoy a cup of coffee here or try some well known fastfood chains. Otherwise along the way you will be enchanted by the "Central Park" feeling of the tree lined streets that bring you to and from the beaches and the shopping center. You will be able to pick a different restaurant each meal and not get bored with the great selection of ethnic choices.

Arts and Entertainment?

The Sportek is fun and will keep you in shape while you are on your vacation. It has sports fields and jogging tracks. Directly across the street is HaYarkon River and park. You can rent boats here or just relax on the grass with a picnic and bottle of wine or beer.

The Eretz Yisrael museum is also here making this a short half day trip north of the Hilton Beach area that will be a nice walk or a short cab ride. In the museum there is an active archaeological dig, glassworks exhibit and remains from King Solomon's famous mines at Timna near Eilat.

Let's Get Practical

You will find many exchange kiosks to receive shekels at the most current rate. You can also withdraw money from ATM's on each street. Buses are very accessible on the streets and very cheap modes of transportation. Most signs are in Hebrew and English but ask the driver to ensure you are on the right bus. Cabs are usually regulated but you can sometimes "haggle" for a set fee before you enter. The drivers will usually speak English and Hebrew.
