What's in it?

This vacation rental in tel aviv is a two bedrooms apartment,(with additional sleep sofa in the living room) beautifully renovated in an old Ottoman building in Jaffa. This holiday apartment in tel aviv is a modern open plan kitchen with all the amenities, and two wonderful balconies to enjoy the views over old Jaffa, the flea market and the Mediterranean sunsets. Tasteful furniture designed by local artists with high quality finishes are aimed at the international market. Great for short term rental in tel aviv.

What is the area like?

This is the opportunity to stay amongst a rising French colony and local artists in Jaffa. The historic port, flea market, mosques , synagogues and churches all exist in harmony here. There is a great promenade to walk all along the city's beachfront and you can go down to the Jaffa port to see the local fishing boats. The Flea Market sells anything from vintage clothing, to carpets and antiques.

The beach is only 5 minutes away by foot and you are steps away from the historic city walls and ancient port. the history here goes back to Ramses from egyptian history and even incldes greats such as Jonah who was swallowed by the whale here. The exciting first city outside the Old Jaffa walls is Neve Tzedek and it is only 10 muntes wak away. You will find great cafes hiding in alleyways in this now exclusive and hugely updated trendy neighborhood.

What shall I have for lunch?

For a typical Israeli breakfast, head to " Dr Shakshuka" or one of the many local kiosks for pita, hummus and other Middle East meals. "Abulafia" is a famous bakery on Yefet Street for pastries and breads. In the evening try " Charcuterie" for some of Tel Aviv's best meat, and a short walk away is " Manta Ray", which is perfect for seafood.

Where can I empty my wallet?

The area is recently updated with trendy upscale chic shops. You can shop israeli favorites such as Castro and Adidas or stop by th elocal bazaar shops open every day. Try local art and antique galleries, walk to the historic port and artists colony with many unique crafts and pottery. Night time market stalls can be found around the Church up on the hill.

Arts and Entertainment?

The Ilana Goor art museum is in the old port and there are local working museums of Judaica arts and crafts. In the evenings enjoy a glass of wine at " Yoezer Wine Bar" or ask the locals to direct you to " Margoza" a small but trendy bar where live bands might be found .

Let's Get Practical

Jaffa is well geared to handle foreign visitors with ATM cash machines in English around the Clock Tower area. Here you can also buy phone cards, maps and guide books, and change money. No 10 bus on Yefet Street will take you into Tel Aviv and runs about every twenty minutes.
