Apartment Overview
Guests Reviews

a large well decorated home with views to the Jerusalem Botanical Gardens an outside space larger than the apartment with lounge chairs tables and foosball and ping pong

What's in it?

This is someone's vacation home that has been decorated to the best specifications for her own relaxation in Jerusalem. You benefit with great decor, amazing furnishings and unbeatable views. The cool breezes blow through this great space in a quiet neighborhood with easy access to the highway. There is air conditioning in the salon, dining room and kitchen and each of the bedrooms. Th emain bath has a tub and there are two showers, washing machine and a large collection of Jewish study materials. This is a kosher apartment with both meat and dairy as well as sleeping arrangements. When you are not sitting relaxing with a great meal you can go out onto the 100 sm balcony with chairs, tables and chaise lounges. There is also a foosball and ping pong table for the kids to enjoy.

What is the area like?

You can easily exit the highway and arrive to a true vacation rental in the city. You beat the downtown noise and traffic but are only about 10 minutes away by car or 20 minutes by foot. You can still walk through this neighborhood to some great areas such as the downtown city area, the German Colony and some really well known shuls in the area. It is Jerusalem and the city is designed for walking and sight seeing and really enjoying a quiet and peaceful time in this holy capital city.

What shall I have for lunch?

A short drive to the German Colony will bring you to some very trendy places for breakfast lunch or dinner. I really like Tal Bagels for the best bagel and spreads in the city. Try the whitefish salad on your bagel. Or take a drive to Mamilla Mall for a more upscale lunch or dinner at very reasonable rates. There is underground parking just below the mall. Cafe Rimon has some amazing choices. I like the open faced halumi sandwich or the camembert sandwich.

Where can I empty my wallet?

The above mentioned Mamilla Mall has some very trendy shops and local Israeli artisans. This is one of the best open space malls in europe or Asia. You will enjoy the mix of old and new as you walk through on to the Jaffa Gate Plaza and all of the shops in the old city. In the old city it is expected for you to haggle to lower the price. IF you are haggling it should be that you should buy in the end. If you haven't spend all your money go to the Ben Yehuda Pedestrian Mall in the center of the city. Here you will find some great cafes, restaurants and shops operated by more local owners.

Let's Get Practical

You can walk to the street and find a bus to the heart of the city or on to the central bus station for buses and trains to all parts of Israel. A short walk will take you to the German Colony where even more buses will take you to the city. Cabs are very cheap and are along all streets in Jerusalem 24 hours a day. On the streets of the city you will find tourist offices to get day trips north to Nazereth or ancient Tiberias. There are so many sites to see it is a good idea to look for tours to assist you in getting the most from your time here in Israel. ATMs are at every bank main office. You can receive shekels here at the most current rate of exchange. There are also cash exchange kiosks along the streets.
